The Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon—Team Up booster pack (released February 1, 2019) is one of the most iconic and valuable sets from the Sun & Moon era. It is famous for introducing the TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX mechanic, featuring two Pokémon on a single card with massive HP and devastating "GX" attacks.
While the packaging traditionally states "10 Cards," a standard English booster pack actually contains a total of 12 items:
10 Gameplay Cards: These include the Pokémon and Trainer cards used for play.
1 Basic Energy Card: A guaranteed Energy card (which does not count toward the 10-card limit).
1 Code Card: For use in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live/Online.
Each Team Up pack follows a specific internal structure to ensure a mix of rarities:
5 Common Cards: The base of the pack.
3 Uncommon Cards: Includes stronger Pokémon and essential Trainer cards.
1 Reverse Holo Card: This card features a shiny foil finish over the entire card face except the art. It can be any rarity from the set (Common through Rare).
1 Rare (or better) Card: This is the "hit" slot. It will contain at least a non-holo Rare, but can be a Holo Rare, Ultra Rare (GX), TAG TEAM GX, Full Art, or Secret Rare.
